How to play Pinplot
Pinplot is a daily logic puzzle. The grid is split into colored regions, and your job is to place stars so that:
- every row has exactly one star,
- every column has exactly one star,
- every colored region has exactly one star,
- and no two stars touch, not even diagonally.
Tap a cell once to mark it ✕ (a reminder that no star can go there), tap again to place a ★, and a third time to clear it. If two stars break a rule, they turn red. Every puzzle has exactly one answer, and you can always reach it by logic, with no guessing needed.
Tips for solving
Start with the smallest regions
A region with only two or three cells leaves very few options. Its star has to go in one of them, which often rules out a whole row or column elsewhere.
Cross out around every star
Once you place a star, mark ✕ on its row, its column, its region and the eight cells around it. The empty cells that are left are your real options.
Look for regions stuck in one row
If all the open cells of a region sit in the same row, that row's star must be inside that region, so you can cross out the rest of the row. The same goes for columns.

How is my score measured?
By time. The clock starts at your first tap and pauses if you leave the page. Each size has a par time: solve within it for three stars. Clearing the board doesn't reset the clock.
