How to play Inkflood
Inkflood is a daily color puzzle. Every tile on the board has a color, and touching tiles of the same color form an area. Your goal is to turn the entire board into the target color shown above the board.
- Pick a color from the palette below the board.
- Tap any tile. That tile and every connected tile of the same color change to your chosen color.
- When areas become the same color, they merge into one bigger area that you can change all at once.
- Finish in par or fewer moves for three stars. You get two spare moves before you run out.
Tips for solving in fewer moves
Grow one big area
Pick one area near the middle and keep changing it to whichever color touches it most. A big central area reaches everything faster than one stuck in a corner.
Save the target color for last
It is tempting to paint things the target color early, but it is often faster to connect everything first and switch to the target color with your final move.
Clean up small islands early
A single tile trapped between other colors can cost you an extra move at the end. Merge it into a neighbor while it is cheap.
Daily puzzle, practice and archive
A new daily puzzle unlocks at midnight in your time zone, and everyone gets the same board. Puzzles start easy on Monday and get harder through the week, with the biggest boards on the weekend. Par is the number of moves our solver needed for this board. It is a great score, but not always the best possible one. If you beat par, you earn a trophy.
